DIY Wooden Glider Workshop

Aerodynamics into Practice

This workshop focuses on empowering students to learn and apply basic aeronautical knowledge through a collaborative, hands-on experience of building their own model planes. Participants will delve into fundamental principles of flight and aerodynamics while working in teams to design and construct their models. This interactive approach not only reinforces theoretical concepts but also fosters essential skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.

Suggested Programme Content

  • Time: 3 days, 9 hours

  • Student: P4 or above

  • Number of pax: 15 or above

DIY 3D Printing Drone

From Imagination to Flight

This workshop inspires students to explore their interests in mechanical engineering, aviation, and flight by 3D designing, assembling, and flying their unique DIY and 3D-printed drones.

 

Throughout the process, students will gain a deeper understanding of drone theory while engaging in hands-on creativity that brings theoretical concepts to life. Working in collaborative teams, they will learn essential mechanical principles as they assemble electronic components and flight accessories, gaining experience in soldering, circuit integration, and the interplay of power and parts.

  • Time: 3 days, 9 hours

  • Student: S1 or above

  • Number of pax: 10 or above

    • Basic Aerodynamics theory

    • Drone theory

    • 3D Design coaching - Design their own drone frame

    • 3D Printing theory

    • Learn to use a 3D printer - Print their own drone

Simulated Flight Training

Experience the Skies

This workshop provides an exciting opportunity for students to learn the fundamentals of piloting aircraft.

 

Guided by experienced instructors, participants will practice essential flying techniques using flight simulators. This hands-on experience allows students to understand and control various flight control surfaces, enabling them to execute a range of flight maneuvers.

 

Not only will this enhance their flying skills, but it will also foster a lasting interest in aviation.

  • Time: 5 days, 10 hours

  • Student: S1 or above

  • Number of pax: 6 or above
